A half-dozen trips to Utah and we finally saw the Great Salt Lake.
We’ve been to Arches, Zion, Bryce and Canyonlands at least a couple of times each. We’ve been to Dinosaur, Capitol Reef, Goosenecks, Goblin and even Hovenweep. But never to the Lake.
The lake is an interesting curiosity, but the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge – where we saw Snowy Egrets for the first time – was the highlight of our brief stay on the area. I suspect that catching peak migratory season would be worth a special trip.
Just for the heck of it we stayed a night at a ‘Luxury RV Resort’. It was fine for getting showered and reorganized, but that type of ‘camping’ is not for us.
